Happy Groundhogs Day!

I guess that pesky groundhog saw his shadow and we are cursed with a long winter. Hasn’t it been long enough? And coming from my mouth, that must mean it has been an extra looong hard winter.

So today is day two of Thing-a-day. Yesterday I posted the above one of a kind, wearable artworks. I love everything mini, so creating original work in such a tiny space makes my heart sing.

Here is a picture of how the buttons look in progress. These one of a kind buttons are available in my shop.

Then today, I am trying to work on one of my 2009 goals of getting out my belated mail owed to people. What I have in mind is the project from the book 52 projects where you fill a regular office envelope with so much stuff it is swollen and then tape it closed to keep it safe and send it on it’s snail mail way.

So today, I’ve put together some more of these mini scratch pads from my recycled office paper. I quarter 8.5×11 and then on these particular books, cut in half again, and then staple a binding on them. Then I finish them off by using adhesive and pretty scrap papers to cover the stapled edges. Voila, pretty, pretty.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).
