Monday update

I hope everyone had a very relaxing and comfortable Thanksgiving weekend! I had an extra day off  (a four day weekend) and it whipped by so quickly. Many full days, morning till late night, busy-busy-busy visiting with family, friends, going to movies, going out to catch up with friends visiting home for the holiday, art group meeting, knitting, knitting, knitting, the perfect weekend! Oh and it snowed, I couldn’t have been happier.

Actually, on Thanksgiving day itself, my mom, sister, sister-in-law and I worked at untangling the mess that was my yarn stash. With all four of us contributing, it was quite a chore and no one knew exactly how bad it really was when they volunteered. Now, everything is rolled up and put into separate bags to prevent it from happening again.

Marta got her package that I sent and she showed bits of it on her blog here. I’m getting a lot of visitors from her blog, so. . . Hello everyone from Portugal! I think Portugal must be a very creative, artistic and inspired place to live because every blog I see from there just amazes me.

This morning I was catching up on my This American Life and found out that they released the results of the Break-Up song contest. Months ago there was an episode where Starlee Kine decided to write her own break-up song and she even consulted with the king of break-up songs, Phil Collins. I highly recommend listening to the first episode and then check out what listeners were able to do with her song, it is pretty great.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).
