I just got an email from one of the few that can be called my bestest friends in the world, Erin, and this was a small portion of what she said so beautifully:
“So today is Sept. 11 – five years ago we sat in a room together and watched as the buildings crashed down. So much has changed in that time, but so much has gone back to the same as it always was.”
My memories of September 11th will always be entwined with what happened that day and the reaction of those I was surrounded by. Those same people impacted my life so greatly and I also credit them with helping form who I have become as a person. It is a day of remembrance and I guess I am just reflecting now, not only about the events of that day, but those people that I sat by everyday for years and still love to this day.
