Robayre – The original Source

3 days post NaBloPoMo and I am absolutely swamped. I can’t wait to work on some personal projects but they will have to wait until next week. In the meantime I entertain myself with netflix while I pretend to be a worker elf. Today I put on Disney’s Robin Hood, a movie my brother and I used to watch all the time when we were kids. When it got to this spot I knew right away where my brother must have gotten it: calling me Robayre. Robin Hood, Robayre. There you have it.

I just always assumed he was calling me Robayre, like the french Robert, which is probably what Little John is doing in the video above, but now I’m sure my brother had it in his head specifically because of this movie.

And while we’re at it, we can thank this great classic movie for turning out Roger Miller’s music, which would then be used much later for HAMSTER DANCE!

Oo de lally Ol de lally, golly what a day!

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that version before; seen very few snip-its, but never the entire thing. Now I’ll have to watch it!
