Day 1 August Challenge

I’ve completed and listed the first piece for the month long challenge.

At the beginning of the year I created a list of things I wanted to complete in the year 2009. One of those items (#7) was to do a month long challenge where I created a piece everyday (Monday through Friday). This is day one in my attempt to cross that item off my list.

I love how it came out, but woooo, it took a lot longer than I had hoped and planned. Just imagine cutting all those individual blades of grass. I held the bar high for the first day. Note: the pieces will probably be listed pretty late each day as I work during the day.

In other news, I was able to begin crossing off #15 on my 2009 list. My sister and I went into the city and stopped at Quimby’s book store and I used their lovely black and white photo booth.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).

  1. It’s mine! My very first Robayre piece and I can’t wait to get it in my grubby little hands. Good luck with the rest of your daily artwork. (And good idea to take weekends off.)

  3. Good Morning, Robayre. I am joining you. I listed mine really late last night. I am so slow when I create. I really want to enjoy what I am doing. Then I realized I needed to snap photos before I lost my light for the night! Plus, we had company and dinner going. But I did it and I love what I made. Looking forward to working on more today. ox Have a wonderful day.

  4. Oh hooray! I want to join in! Is it too late? I took a bunch of photographs this week since I was away from home – could that count as my piece?
