Do you twitter?

Do you Twitter? Twitter is a microblogging service. Think short text message length blogging you can post, as well as keep up with your friends and other bloggers up to the minute doings.  I’ve had my twitter for a little over a year, but there have been long periods when I forgot it even existed. Lately I have been using it semi regularly (at least a few times a week). I have it set up so I can send my tweets from my phone, while I’m in action and on the go. I think there is also a way where you can receive your subscribed updates on your phone as text messages as well.

Let’s be Twitter friends.

The funniest thing just happened as I was about to post this blog entry. I got an email from a friend who wanted to ask what I think of twitter, and as I was emailing her back about the serendipity of her message as I was composing a post about twitter, she signed up for her own account and friended me.

I am loving Twitter more and more lately. My next step, I want to find out a way to add my latest tweets to a sidebar on this blog. Anyone know how I might be able to do that?

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).

  1. Hi Robyn! I had added my twitter updates to my blog sidebar when I first joined twitter last month, but now I don’t remember how I did it. I removed it. But it has to be really, really easy if I did it! I was reluctant to join twitter but it is growing on me. Facebook, on the other hand, has a long way to go before I decide on its value. I like my twitter ~ and FB ~ to remain very small scale, though. I am not interested in being connected to an endless stream of passing acquaintances. I am glad my CADDY friends have joined both. I like seeing you all and your posts & news. I feel the new blog is not bonding us like the old one did. I don’t know why that is. I’d love to hear everyone else’s thoughts. Have a great day. See you on twitter! ox joon

  2. hey “crafty” you post is twitterrific, I specially like your twitter page picture.
I added it to my blog sidebar by adding an html box, and then posting the link to twitter, but I use squarespace and they kind of have everything set up for us who are code challenged, so I really have no idea of how to do it.
I love your tweets! keep on twiitin’
