I’m in a hotel just inside the Kansas border right now. The hotel front desk had a sign prominently displayed saying “Attention Hunters: no cleaning your birds or guns in hotel rooms.” So far, two unrelated people have already told us “That’s Kansas for you”.
Yesterday, Erica’s sister escorted us through Estes Park and some great spots in the Rocky Mountain National Park. I climbed rocks, I was a mini mountain climber. This was the perfect time to visit because the trees are all as gold as gold can be. In a couple locations I was inspired to play my art group’s game WWAGD? or What Would Andy Goldsworthy Do? Even Erica and Kris got in on it and created their own rock art pieces as well. Here are mine above and below.
Today we left Loveland and drove to the Royal Gorge for an historical train ride. It was beautiful weather and once again the colors were amazing.
Monday we will be driving through Kansas and Missouri possibly hitting up such great sights as The Largest Ball of Twine.
