A Cool 18th Thing

I found this video on Mati Rose’s blog yesterday but I didn’t have a chance to view it until this morning.

It actually made me tear up a bit, but it’s not sad. Happy cry, like Christian the lion crying, like people dancing all over the world crying.

If you haven’t seen it yet, please watch. I’m kicking myself that I had not even heard of it any of it until right now. I’ve stood where they filmed that dozens of times and might have enjoyed participating as well. Regardless, I’m thankful that this video exists and it’s inspiration is now out there for everyone to enjoy. After it was done I immediately thought of Found Art Tuesday, what do ya think Rosa?

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).

  1. OK. I just went and checked out the link and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw one of my favorite children’s books: Little Pea. It is written by THIS very Amy and of course, I love this book because it also happens to be illustrated by the very special Jen Corace.

I am definitely going to send something, now the hard part: what to send? Oh my.

  2. Last comment: PROMISE! I went BACK there and of course then I see her Encyclopedia of Me book: one of the most genius books ever, ever written. I have read it so many times I can’t believe I did not ever put these things together. My mind has been blown.
