Just a couple things

I just had this memory of when I was in elementary school and we were taught sea shanties in chorus. As children with siblings do, I taught my little brother one that I really liked. He was in preschool or kindergarten. Apparently, he liked the song as well, and went to school and sang it to his friends. His teacher did not appreciate it and contacted our parents and I got in trouble for teaching him the song. At the time I remember thinking it was unfair that I was reprimanded for teaching him a song that I learned at school myself. After just remembering this, I was curious what the song was, so I just googled sea shanties and found it. Yeah, I guess drunkin’ sailors, is a bit much for preschool classrooms. I just thought that was funny and wanted to share.

I found this adorable pattern for little “house slippers” that I would want to convert into “everywhere shoes”. They immediately bring to mind Christopher Robin. I just love the thick strap and fat button. I could add this technique to the bottom to make them non slip and soon enough I’ll be wearing them out on the town.
