Happy New Year!

It is finally 2008 and hopefully now when I write the date on my checks it will be for the right year. All last year I kept wanting to write 2008. Maybe that is a sign that 2008 is going to be a great year.

Normally I don’t seriously do the Resolutions thing, but this year I have a few and I hope to keep them straight by posting them here.

  • I spoke with Matt about this and we have resolved to cook dinner 3 times a week. This should help cut down my microwave dinner dependency.
  • I resolve to jump back on the running wagon and finish the c25k program and then run in a 5k. I had been doing so well and got up to running for 16 minutes straight, but then kept taking breaks. This resolution means I have to stick to it and I must do a little research to find out what 5k to run in. I’m going to try and run everyday, the program suggests every other, but I think that partially did me in. Normally I lose momentum fast if I am not doing it everyday, then one day off turns into two days off, etc.
  • I would REALLY LOVE to go over my 100 sales mark on etsy. We will see how this goes. Speaking of which, I have uploaded several new items lately, feel free to check it out.

  • This is a huge one, and one I think I try for EVERY YEAR and it never sticks: Keep my apartment clean and tidy. I think I need to come up with a plan of action for this and not just hope that I can keep it clean. I’m going to make sure all dishes are cleaned and put away before I go to bed each night, and dedicate a half an hour everyday after work to picking up any items that need to be put into their rightful places. A half an hour is not too much time, and if I stay on top of it, I’m sure it would take no longer than a half an hour each day.
  • And this kind of goes with the above resolution: Stay very productive. I find that I am much more driven and more productive while working in an organized and clean space, the Delta 8 THC gummies can help you with your focus on your projects. When there is too much clutter (read: art supplies) everywhere I just feel exhausted at the idea of working on anything.
  • I would also like to stick to my idea of moving the furniture around quarterly. I have noticed that this little change can “shake things up” enough to brighten my spirits and present me with a renewed sense of energy, thus contributing to my overall productiveness.

Anyway, this is just my personal resolution list, it’s a pretty typical list I figure. Do you have any interesting resolutions for the new year?

Here’s to a new healthy, happy and productive new year! Cheers!

Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there.
