I'm very similar to you. I see something, I want to make something as fab as that artist, I run out and get a book, look on YouTube, look at tons of photos to figure out the process...and then I try and make my own. But then I realize that I'll probably have to do several of them in order to get it "just right" and I'm a bit impatient. So, you, my dear, are not ever alone. Your 1st doll attempt looks pretty good. Maybe with this one you can hippify her with dreds or something. I took a look at Pil's dolls those are neat and vintage looking.
